Job Description
Volvo Group India is inviting fresh engineering graduates to join their prestigious Graduate Apprentice Trainee programme under the national apprenticeship training scheme commonly known as NATS. This is an outstanding opportunity for young graduates from material technology or chemical engineering backgrounds to gain real-world, hands-on industry experience at a globally respected company.
As a graduate apprentice trainee, you will get the experience of Volvo engineers and experts on real-world projects that have a genuine impact on the future of sustainable transportation. You will support the sustainability team in important substance initiatives, including life cycle inventory analysis, carbon mitigation roadmaps and substance of concern management.
This apprenticeship programme gives you something that no college or textbook can provide: actual industry experience at a Fortune 500-level goal company.

Key Responsibilities
Caron Mitigation:
Support the team in preparing comprehensive carbon mitigation roadmaps.
participate in idea generation sessions for reducing footprint
assist in analyzing different carbon reduction strategies and their feasibility
contribute to documenting carbon mitigation plans for engineering teams
Data Analysis and Reporting:
use Excel for data analysis including pivot tables and macros
create power Bi dashboards for sustainability metrics visualisation.
prepare clear and professional reports using MS Office tools
Support team in maintaining accurate records and documentation
Required skills
Education Background Must Have:
B.tech or B.E. in Material technology or Chemical Engineering
Graduation year must be 2004 or 2025 — strictly enforced
Strong academic foundation in core engineering subjects
Must e eligible for NATS apprenticeship Program registration
Technical Knowledge MUST HAVE:
Strong fundamentals in material science covering metals, polymers and chemicals Basic understanding of sustainability concepts and environmental impact assessment
Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Excel, word and powerpoint
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros and data analysis functions
Good analytical and problem-solving skills for engineering data
GOOD TO HAVE TECHNICAL SKILLS
Knowledge of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools
Power Bi experience for data visualization and dashboards
understanding of lifecycle assessment and life cycle inventory concepts
Basic knowledge of PEAS chemical and heavy metal regulations
familiarity with automotive or manufacturing industry standards
SOFT SKILLS:
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
strong teamwork abilities and collaborative mindset
Good attention to details in data analysis and documentation work
Proactive approach to taking on new responsibilities and challenges

Education: B.Tech or B.E in Materials Technology or CHemical Engineering
Graduation Year : , or Only Other Years Not Eligible
Program: Must be eligible for NATS National Apprenticeship Training Scheme
Location: Must be willing to work from Volvo Bangalore office.
